Phoenix Zoo

While we were in AZ we went to the park, swam in Sarah's pool... well, Bry swam, I watched. :), played lots with cousins, and went to the zoo. It was so warm the whole week and the kids had a blast in their SHORTS. Then  we came home to snow in our backyard. Very depressing.

While we sat and waited for Nana and Poppy to get there we chilled here by this pond. There are some big colorful fish the the kids loved watching. Until and another kid came up and started throwing rocks at the fish. Then they swam away. Seriously. The mom was just sitting there watching!

So this was HILARIOUS! The one monkey came over and sat down in front of the other one and it started picking thru his fur and EATING THE BUGS! It was seriously the funniest thing I've ever seen in my life! They were right by the window so we just sat and watched for like 15 minutes. He just kept picking thru the hair, finding bugs and eating them! Man, something you don't see every day!

And speaking of things you don't see every day... Yep. It's true. There were noises too, I got a video to laugh at forever. :) Who knew that tortoises could have SO much fun!!

And because it was Bryson's birthday... I paid $5 for him to ride a camel for about 5 minutes. :) 

Totally worth THIS smile!! He was the happiest little boy in the whole zoo after that ride. :)

Then Maddie rode with Cade and Sarah and had just as much fun! Look at that grin. :)

Not a real zebra but she sat and had a conversation with it for like 20 minutes. :)

These, however, were real and it was such a treat to watch them all 3 eat from that little thing. One would move it one way to get some grass and the other would move it back the other way so that HE could eat some grass and around and around it went. It was pretty fun to watch. :)

What a fun trip!! I can't believe it's over already! We had so much fun and can't wait to see Nana again next summer! The kids are already talking about going to the lake with her when she comes. :)
