We've had an eventful couple of days. All of the poop collecting actually paid off. Maddie has an infection in her colon called CDif... probably didn't spell that correctly... but, basically there are good bugs in your colon all the time. Usually these bugs will act up after you have been on antibiotics and all the good and bad stuff is out of your system. But, my doctor said that lately there have been a lot of cases that he's seen where the kids have not been on antibiotics but these bugs are still causing problems. Anyway, she got some medicine and will be on it for 10 days. Problem solved!! :) I'm actually glad they found a problem so it can be fixed and I wasn't told that it was some virus and it just has to "run it's course."
Next, we've had some fun visitors at our house. Some good friends from North Dakota came and stayed with us for a couple of days. Bry attached to Michael right away and loved wrestling with him on the big air mattress we had set up in the family room. :) We went down to Salt Lake and went to the Discovery Gateway down there which the kids LOVED and then went to Temple Square. We had so much fun together and we will cherish these memories forever. :)

We always set up the big air mattress when we have company and Bry LOVES it. We have to keep it up for a day afterwards just to let Bry play on it! :)

We took the guys over to the Logan River trail one of the days. Bry loves to ride his bike. Well, he rides his bike for like 2 seconds and then wants to throw rocks in the river. It takes us an hour to get half way through the trail! Maddie LOVES her stroller and loves to go for walks. This time we let her walk part of the way and she loved picking up rocks and throwing them in the river too. :)

Maddie was a little weary of the guys at first, but she warmed up. Pretty well. :)

Classic Maddie Girl... thumb in mouth!

Bry and Kevin read lots of books together. It was so cute to see Bry cuddle up to Kevin!

Because of HIM we have this little princess. We can't imagine our lives without her.

Bry loved the water exhibit at the Gateway.

A future fireman??

Maddie sat on this little teeter totter thing and Kevin would pull her up and push her down... up, down... up down... it was so cute and Maddie LOVED IT!

Can you guess who LOVED this helicopter?? It had a button you could push and the engine would turn on... so cool! Bry made Ty sit in the back with the cargo... I, on the other hand, got to sit on the passenger side! :)

Maddie loved trying on all the costumes... OK. I loved putting them on her and taking pictures. :)

There was this great toddler area that Maddie stayed in for a lot of the time. She played, we chatted and took LOTS of pictures.

If you look closely, Bry is planning his escape... into the fountain.

And this would be our classic family picture. Happens EVERY time. Me and Ty are smiling. But, whoever is taking the picture is yelling "Bry, Maddie!" They are probably jumping up and down trying to get my kids to smile but alas... as you can see.... Nothin' but the back of their heads! :)
What a wonderful couple of days! Thank you so much for coming out to see us guys! We loved every minute and can't wait to see you again! Oh, and we can't wait to beat you at games again!!

Oh the poop. I was laughing, mostly because I'm glad it isn't me. Sorry, but at least she is on the road to recovery. YIKES!
It looks like you had a fun visit. Maddie looks a lot like her birth father. We have a very open adoption with Blaine's birth mom. We get together with her, her husband and their baby every couple months. I love seeing her play with Blaine. So special!! I hope Maddie gets better soon. Thanks for commenting on my blog about the 2 kid thing. It's good to know that I'm not the only one who has struggled making the adjustment. Ü
That is really neat that you were able to have Maddie's birth father come visit. What a wonderful experience!
Such fun pictures! Glad you guys had a good time with them. :)
Looks like a lot of fun!!
