My little man is FIVE!! I can't believe it! We talk about the kids' birthmoms a lot but especially around birthday time I like to tell them their stories and remind them of the special women that they came from. We talked a lot about Heidi this last week. We are so grateful for her. For her courage. For her strength. She was listening to the spirit and had to be very strong in her decision when she picked us. She told her caseworker that she wanted us to be Brysons parents but we hadn't been waiting very long so they gave her more families to look at and she came back after looking at them and said that she STILL wanted to pick us. We will be forever grateful that she did because without her we would not have our little Bryson in our family. We couldn't live with out this little man. He is so active and loves to play cars, trucks, trains and chase his little sister around. But, he is also the sweetest, most cuddly little guy. He loves to cuddle on the couch with me before breakfast or come into our room in the morning and cuddle with us in bed. He will come give me big hugs and tells me he loves me many many times through out the day. He is so sweet and I can't imagine life with out him!
We did a little birthday party for him with Ty's mom and dad the Sunday before his birthday.
Ty's mom got him this cute sleeping bag so he can bring it to her house for sleepovers. It was super cute and Bry slept with it that night!
We got Bry a scooter and a race car track. Both were a BIG hit. Lots of kids in the neighborhood have scooters so I thought it was high time that Bry had his own. :) He's already great at it and loves to play with all the big kids and their scooters.
This is him opening the race car track... check out that face!
On Bry's birthday we had pizza and breadsticks and for dessert we went to get ring pops. He LOVES them and would choose them over ice cream or other candy in a heart beat. Me and Ty love it because we can go get ice cream somewhere and stop for ring pops on the way home for the kids and everyone is happy. Not sure how much longer it'll last for Maddie... she likes ring pops but will usually want some of moms ice cream. :)
Then the day after Bry's birthday we did a little friend party at McDonalds. 5 of his friends came and we had a fun time celebrating. What a fun birthday!
